Due to the handcrafted and highly personalized nature of my items, I do not accept returns or offer refunds.
However, if there is an issue with your order or if you receive a defective item,

Made-to-Order Items Are Custom Crafted
Many of my costumes are made specially to fit your unique measurements and requests.
Because they are tailored specifically for each individual customer, they cannot be resold or exchanged once completed.
Pre-Made Items Are Limited in Quantity
My ready-to-ship costumes are produced in very small batches (mostly only one) and are often one-of-a-kind.
Once sold, they are gone, and I may not be able to re-stock the same item.
To preserve the quality and uniqueness of my work, I do not accept returns on these items either.
Costume Character & Hygiene Considerations
Due to the intimate and stylized nature of cosplay and costume items, I am unable to accept returns or exchanges for hygiene and presentation reasons.
I want every customer to receive a piece that is truly fresh and unworn.
✨ Pre-Made Costume Orders
- A customer can request a refund only for pre-made costume orders that have not been shipped.
Once shipped, no refund, return, or exchange can be offered. - PayPal Refunds: Please note: When you receive a refund via PayPal, the refunded amount will not be the full amount you originally paid.
This is because PayPal charges a transaction fee when the original payment is made, and since 2019, PayPal no longer refunds the processing fee to either the buyer or the seller.
Therefore, your refund will be the original amount minus PayPal’s current processing fee.
✨ Order-Made Costume Orders
Order-made costume orders are processed upon receiving cleared payment.
Once fabrics, trims, or materials are purchased and cut, orders cannot be canceled or changed.

All order information and body measurements provided by the customer are the customer’s responsibility.

Mock-up/Fit Sample
Starting 2020, US customers get one FREE mock-up/fit sample for “order-made” costumes.
*Sorry, can’t provide this to international customers due to shipping rate.
♦ Sample is made partially in alternative fabric/color and not in full costume set.
♦ This is to check overall size/fit, so I can adjust pattern size close to your size before I start to cut actual fabric
♦ Upon receiving a sample, a customer can make comment/feedback if there is anything should be corrected, improved or applied to a final costume.

No. sewing patterns of the costumes I make are not available for sale.
Payment
Payment Policy
Payment is accepted by PayPal in US Dollar.
Unpaid order by payment due date will be automatically canceled without notice. (please contact if you need payment extension)
A full amount of payment is required to process your order.
Once a payment is received, fabrics are cut and any necessary sewing materials are used.
At this point, any change on your order (size, details or refund) is not possible. But please do contact to discuss further.

PayPal is the safer, easier way to pay online.
Pay through credit cards, bank accounts, buyer credit or account balances, without exposing your card numbers to the seller!

I don't have PayPal account. Do I need to make one?
No, you don’t need to sign up or create a new PayPal account to send your payment.
You can still pay with your credit/debit card without creating a PayPal account.
Do you accept partial payment?
Can I pay half now and pay the rest later?
No, Cosaru does not accept partial payment.
A full amount of payment is required to process your order.
Shipping
When can you ship my order?
- Pre-Made items are normally shipped within 1-3 business days upon receiving cleared payment.
- For Order-Made items, a customer will be notified with order schedule and expected shipping date prior to payment.
- US domestic packages are shipped from Monday~Saturday using a self service KIOSK located inside a local post office.
- International packages are usually shipped during weekdays (Monday~Friday) as they are only accepted by visiting a post office window, not a self service KIOSK.
I use USPS as shipping carrier, and can ship/visit USPS during their business hours.

Shipping fee
Shipping fee is calculated based on your destination and package weight using USPS website’s shipping guide and their costs.
After your order is shipped, if the actual postage is less than you pay, the difference (min $1.00) will be refunded immediately.
You will never overpay for the shipping fee.

*Please expect delays for all international delivery due to the COVID-19 including airline travel restrictions and cancellations.

Please note that international shipping fee is MORE EXPENSIVE than USA domestic shipping fee.
A customer will always pay the actual postage as per USPS postage rate that is calculated by package weight/size and destination.
There is NO handling fee/NO hidden fee charged by Cosaru.com.

Customs Fees and VAT (value added tax)
If there are customs and import duties, they must be paid by you once the package reaches your destination country.
These charges are your responsibility and will vary from country to country.
Cosaru.com cannot determine what these fees will be.

Cosaru.com reserves the right to refuse to ship to certain countries.
I need a costume next week. How fast can you make & ship?
If you’re in a hurry to get a costume, please contact COSARU and ask if you can receive a package by your due date.
Order-made items cannot be shipped right away since they need extra sewing time.
Buying pre-made items will be the best option.
Pre-made items are usually shipped within 1-3 business days upon receiving cleared payment.
For faster delivery, I recommend you choose USPS Express Mail which has guaranteed next day (or 2-day) delivery for the most US areas.
